With two new PCR centres, Dubai has increase in Covid-19 testing capacity

Dubai Health Authority has opened two new centers thereby increasing the emirate’s daily testing for Covid-19. The clinics at Al Safa Health Centre and Nad Al Sheba Centre for Ladies are now open to the public.

 

PCR tests are now also done at these 11 DHA centers:

  • Al Rashidiya Majlis
  • Jumeirah 1 Port Majlis
  • Al Nasr Club
  • Nad Al Sheba Centre for Ladies
  • Mall of the Emirates
  • City Centre Deira
  • Nad Al Hamar
  • Al Mankhool
  • Al Twar
  • Al Lusaily
  • Al Safa

 

Appointments for testing can be booked either via the DHA app or by calling the helpline number 800 342. Tests are also done at public and private hospitals across the emirate.

 

On Sunday, UAE reported 2,250 new Covid-19 cases which is the lowest number that has been recorded on any day this month. Furthermore, 3,684 new recoveries were made that has exceeded the number of new cases number by more than 1,400. At present, UAE has 9,603 active cases. The death toll has increased to 1,125 after the death of 17 patients.

 

The total number of Covid-19 infections since the pandemic is now 370,425, with 359,697 patients having recovered. The Emirates has conducted 197,701 tests in the past 24 hours. Over 29.3 million tests have been conducted in the Emirates since the pandemic began.
