Vaccinated outside UAE? Can register for Covid-19 vaccines on Alhosn app

Vaccinated Outside Uae Can Register For Covid 19 Vaccines On Alhosn App

The Alhosn app, UAE’s official vaccine registry, automatically records details of vaccinations for people receiving COVID-19 vaccines in the UAE. But for those who have been vaccinated outside the country, this can be reflected on the app. This holds crucial as this can be necessary to access many public places in Abu Dhabi.

The emirate’s public health regulator – the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) – has urged residents to provide and enter all vaccination details on Alhosn app. The detailed steps to be followed –

Procedure

Approved vaccines: To register a COVID-19 vaccine administered outside the UAE, it is first important to ensure that the vaccine is approved by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, and the World Health Organisation. Approved vaccines include: Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Hyatvax, Sputnik V, Oxford AstraZeneca, Moderna, Covishield, Janssen and Sinovac. The vaccination must have been taken after October 1, 2020.

Required details: Some key information must be included in the vaccination certificate, including the name of the vaccine recipient, vaccine recipient identifier like the Emirates ID or Unified Number in the passport, vaccine name, batch or lot number, vaccination date, and place of vaccination with country name.

Authorisation: For medical evaluation visit an authorised medical centre in Abu Dhabi. This can include any Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) clinic, or Mubadala Healthcare facility. The authorisation report will be submitted to health authorities by the centre to get the vaccination registered.

What happens after this?

Once the vaccination is registered, Alhosn app will show a colour-coded status. A Green Pass, depicted as a green colour on Alhosn, can be used to access public places in Abu Dhabi.

If the status turns grey, it means Green Pass validity has ended. For this a COVID-19 PCR test is needed and receive a negative result to reinitiate your Green Pass.

If the Alhosn status is red, it indicates that the user has tested positive for COVID-19. The person must then follow directions issued by the Department of Health about quarantine and testing.

For any issues using Alhosn app, residents can contact 800 HOSN (800 4676).
