Aster DM Healthcare has partnered with Siemens Healthineers to boost the advancement of innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions in the UAE and GCC. The two entities have signed a seven-year technology and strategic partnership under the execution of Eurohealth Systems.

This value partnership is aimed at strengthening technology upgradation, digital optimisation, training, capacity building and clinical workflow optimisation to further enhance the care delivery model for Aster’s patients.

Speaking in this regard, Alisha Moopen, deputy managing director of Aster DM Healthcare, underlined that technology is rapidly changing. Noting these advancements, Aster is ensuring to stay up-to-date with technological developments, service levels and integrated workflows to enhance patient experience and offer them the highest standards of quality care.

We believe in raising the bar in healthcare, and strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the game-changer that we see for the industry overall. We are glad to work with Siemens Healthineers on this long-term partnership to improve the delivery of patient care in the region," Moopen added.

This agreement will focus on a comprehensive ‘value partnership’ and long-term performance-oriented relationship between the two companies. It will further enable Aster DM Healthcare to optimise clinical operations and expand its capabilities in the UAE and Gulf region.

Ole Per Maloy, CEO, Siemens Healthineers, Middle East, Southern and Eastern Africa, lauded the value partnership as an excellent example of the innovative power that can be employed with the partnership of like-minded healthcare trailblazers. The entities aim to transform care delivery and improve patient experience in line with Aster DM Healthcare’s mission to provide the highest quality healthcare at an affordable cost.

Some of the key areas of focus of the partnership will be maintaining the ongoing supply and improvement of life cycle management of medical technology across multiple sites. These efforts will be supported by digital solutions to optimise workflows and enhance clinical delivery. Siemens Healthineers will also be providing educational services to medical professionals at Aster with the aim of amplifying their clinical capabilities and empowering the medical teams to offer excellent care to all patients in need.

“A value partnership like this will prove to be a game-changer in the market which brings in the strengths of a leading healthcare provider and a medical technology expert to build a customised futuristic solution,” said Hanie Abdul Sathar, director at Eurohealth Systems.

Siemens Healthineers has partnered with a number of leading healthcare providers from around the world, including Hamilton Health Sciences in Canada, the University of Missouri System in the USA, Dallah Health Company in Saudi Arabia, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, and the Braunschweig Municipal Hospital in Germany.

In February, Aster DM Healthcare signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global medicines company Novartis. This MoU was signed to allow Aster to access the advanced therapy platforms and data science of Novartis to enhance the treatment outcomes for patients in the UAE and other countries across the world.
