UAE issues new COVID-19 precautions for ministries, federal entities

The new measures have been introduced to ensure safety of all community members in UAE

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has issued a circular, implementing new COVID-19 precautionary measures for customers and visitors across all ministries, federal government entities and customer service centres in the country. Effective from August 1, the new measures have been issued in line with the ongoing efforts to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the health and safety of all community members.

As per the circular, visitors, customers, employees of outsourcing or service companies, and people other than the employees of federal entities will be restricted from entering the headquarters of ministries, entities and customer service facilities across the UAE.

However, those customers and visitors who have received both doses of a UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccine are exempted from the decision. Furthermore, non-vaccinated and exempted individuals showing a valid negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours on the Alhosn app will be allowed to enter the premises.

The FAHR has noted that the new rules only apply to those above the age of 16. The authority has urged all ministries, federal entities and service facilities to ensure compliance with the new measures as per the circular to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all community members.
