UAE: in a meeting (majlis) that took place last week, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed explained how the UAE managed to control the COVID-19 spread within the country through many measures taken at a very early stage of the disease spread in the world.

indeed UAE`s government ordered schools and malls to shut down, suspend flights... etc.
A series of measures that seems to work effectively, UAE has one of the lowest number of infected people and one of the lowest rate of death related to this pandemic: 153 cases 38 recovered and only 2 deaths, a number shared on JHON HOPKINS UNIVERSITY AND MEDICINE site by their Center for Systems Science and Engineering.

The citizens and the residents of UAE are happy, proud and grateful for the way the UAE leaders dealt with the global pandemic.

As the world is witnessing a rapid spread of the COVID-19, the UAE leadership emerges as a role model in proactive planning that has boosted the country's readiness to contain the virus and to deal with the crisis in a very diligent and professional manner.

In an official statement, the speaker of the National Federal Council (NFD) Saqr Ghobash said: "The UAE has become a global model in successful crisis management, thanks to the directives and continuous support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the UAE." 

Mr. Ghobash paid tribute to the medical teams and staff, doctors nurses and everyone working in hospitals, and expressed special thanks to Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, for the transparency shown while briefing the FNC members in the month of February about the national strategy to contain COVID-19.
