Uae Enforces Green Pass Covid Protocol In Federal Departments

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority NCEMA) have called on all federal government employees as well as community members seeking federal government services across the country to strictly follow the Green Pass Protocol on Alhosn app with effect from January 3, 2022. It will allow all community members to have access to federal entities. However, the authorities have affirmed that entry to federal departments is permitted to only those individuals who have received two doses of UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots. Their Al Hosn app must show the green status which is visible after a negative PCR test conducted every 14 days.

The announcement by MoHAP and NCEMA has come in line with the ongoing national COVID-19 recovery drive and efforts to ensure the maximum level of public health and safety against the pandemic crisis.

As per the announcement, people with vaccination exemption will be permitted to enter the federal departments if they show active green status on their Al Hosn app. It will require them to take the PCR test every seven days to maintain the green status. Furthermore, children aged under 16 are not required to undergo any COVID-19 tests.

The ministry has also clarified that unvaccinated individuals and those with 'grey status' on the Al Hosn app will not be permitted to enter federal government entities.

In conclusion, the ministry has urged all eligible community members to take the booster vaccine shot as per the approved national vaccination protocols. It will enhance the acquired community immunity, particularly in view of the emergence of new COVID-19 variants across the world.
