UAE Community solidarity in facing COVID-19 - a virtual council by the General Command of Abu Dhabi police

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command held a virtual council entitled "Community solidarity in facing Coronavirus", a council focused on the results of community solidarity in the prevention andprotection from the virus infection, as part of the police general command's awareness efforts in cooperationwith all community and health authorities in the country.

The participants praised the success of the UAE in controlling the virus infection and reducing its negative effects that many countries of the world suffered from. Thanks to the solidarity between the wise leadership and society's all groups.

The journalist Ali Sinjil, who ran the council, talked about the emirate made a smart plan and precautionary measures as soon as the pandemic started to develop an integrated solution to control virus spreas, and to reassure the community, a statement confirmed by the saying of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Vice President of the State, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai May God protect him that (everyone is responsible for everyone),as well as the message of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces,may God protect him: (don't worry about anything), his higness affirmed that the government and its executive bodies are united with societyas a whole before the beginning of the crisis.

Farida Al Hosani - the official spokesman for the health sector in the country, said that the main partners in facing the Corona virus had a high level of awareness, concern, interest ,and mage great efforts in joint cooperation , especially in a situation like the pandemic we are having ,where there are no therapeutic solutions yet,but preventive methods,she insisted on the state’s interest in providing the best health services and dispel any concerns about it.

Engineer Azza Suleiman - formerly a member of the National Council, highlighted the UAE unique model of crisis management, embodying the wisdom of the wise leadership in facing various challenges and obstacles and protecting the population, appreciating cooperation between all government and private sectors and members of society, which is a starting point for community awareness as a whole.She noted the positive effects of government transparency in achieving the goals and facing the pandemic.

Colonel Thuraya Al Hashimi - Director of the Medical Services Department at Abu Dhabi Police praised the close cooperation between the police authoritiesand the relevant government agencies to confront this crisis, which made the Penal and Correctional Institutions Directorate free from any case of Coronavirus,Abu Dhabi Police provided personal protection tools for its members during the crisis. In cooperation with the Health Department, a mobile vehicle was developed to conduct free virus checks.

Colonel Dr. Hamoud Saeed Al-Afari - Director of the Community Police Department of Abu Dhabi Police commended the Council, stressing thatit represents one of the awareness efforts in facing the Coronavirus, stressing on the importance of community solidarity as the only wayto confront the virus, and support the state and its executive bodies in this regard.He spoke about the interest of the Community Police Department in Abu Dhabi Police to support and strengthen awareness-raising efforts based on protection to all groups of society from exposure to the virus, and insisted on the importance of the respect of the precautionary measures that represent the wayto win over the virus challenge.

Dr. Saif Darwish - a member of the "We Are All Police" initiative said that the Abu Dhabi Police partnership with members ofWe Are All Police was a community investment serving the community as a whole, pointing to the participation of members of "We are all Police" in various field and administrative operations by distributing public safety items, personal protection and sterilization materials to a large number of workers in the economic and industrial zones since the beginning of the crisis , in addition to their participation in the free checks during the national survey that took placein the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions.
