Sultan Al Jaber lauds UAE leadership’s contribution in successful inoculation drive

On Saturday, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Chairman of the National COVID-19 Crisis Recovery Management and Governance Committee, lauded the country’s leadership for its contrition towards the success of the National Vaccination Campaign. The UAE has been able to inoculate over 52% of the target population with vaccination against COVID-19. Praising the country’s leadership’s vision and forward-thinking, the UAE minister said, "The UAE's leadership has set an exemplary example in addressing the coronavirus crisis.”


Al Jaber also made a special mention of the efforts put in by the campaign teams, including Emiratis and residents, in the successful execution of the drive and said, "They are a source of pride for all of us. They are our first line of defence and real contributors to the efforts made at the country level to confront the pandemic. Their sincere, unwavering determination to excel at their work and to accomplish their mission in the best possible manner has significantly contributed to UAE now leading the world in per capita COVID-19 vaccinations."


He emphasised that the collective effort put in by various government departments helped the country in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. He said, “Under the directives of our wise leadership, the UAE has perpetuated a proactive crisis-management methodology and has been among the first countries of the world offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to all its population. In addition, coronavirus countermeasures have been put in place, coupled with an efficient recovery management strategy rolled out across all sectors.”


Besides evaluating the efforts of the health care department, which helped the country recover from the global health catastrophe in a short period, Al Jaber urged the people to continue supporting the national efforts along with following all the precautionary and preventive measures against coronavirus.
