Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed appoints board for Frontline Heroes Office

In a significant development, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Frontline Heroes Office, has appointed the Board of the Office on July 9. The Board will be working under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan.

Other than the Chairman, the Frontline Heroes Office will consist of the following Board members:

1. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention

2. Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government and Future Development

3. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advance Technology

4. Mohamed Al Junaibi, Chief of Presidential Protocol at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs

5. Sheikh Abdulla Al Hamed, Chairman of Department of Health - Abu Dhabi

6. Obaid Al Shamsi, Director-General of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority

7. SaifGhobash, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office

8. Ali Hamad Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, Representative of the Crown Prince Court

The recently established Office aims to provide support to all the frontline workers in the UAE who have worked for the betterment of the citizens and residents during emergencies and crises. The Office will raise awareness about the significant role place by the frontline workers in crucial times and will be taking care of their needs and priorities. At the same time, the Office will acknowledge their sacrifices and recognise their efforts in the process by presenting them with awards and certificates of appreciation.

UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan set up the 'Frontline Heroes Office' through the Federal Decree No. 95 of 2020, adding that it will have its own identity and financial and administrative independence. The Office will be chaired by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and will be headquartered at Abu Dhabi.
