SEHA extends operating hours of COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centres

COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centres will now operate across Abu Dhabi between 8 AM to 10 PM

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has extended the operating hours of the COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centres across the emirate by 2 hours.

Now, the COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centres set up at Mina Zayed, Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Convention Centre in Al Ain will function daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. Earlier the operating hours were from 8 AM to 8 PM.

These centres located in Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi and the Purple Zone of the Al Ain Convention Centre offer COVID-19 screening, assessment, and other follow-up services for close contacts and travellers. In addition, the Outpatient Clinics building in Abu Dhabi's Mafraq Hospital and in the Red Zone of the Al Ain Convention Centre provide all necessary medical services to COVID-19 positive patients.

The COVID-19 Prime Assessment Centre was the first initiative launched by the authorities with the aim of treating patients testing positive for the disease. After more than a year of fighting the battle against COVID-19, the centre continues to play a crucial role in mitigating the impact of the virus and containing its spread.

The centre enhances the COVID-19 healthcare infrastructure in Abu Dhabi with the provision of easy and safe access to testing and medical assessment to all members of the community, along with expert guidance from qualified medical professionals and volunteers.

Since the onset of the pandemic in the UAE in 2020, SEHA has been working at the forefront of the country's fight against COVID. It has established a number of COVID-19 drive-through services centres and field hospitals across the UAE. SEHA has also launched various initiatives specially to cater to the needs of all sections of the community, such as medical delivery services and virtual outpatient clinics.

These centres are managed by SEHA Facility's Ambulatory Healthcare Services.
