Ramadan 2022: Emirates Transport raises awareness on safe driving

Emirates Transport (ET) has launched a short film on road safety awareness with the aim of promoting safe driving practices during the holy month of Ramadan in the country.

The video demonstrates relevant instructions and recommendations for all drivers of the company. These precautions are important to be strictly followed while driving vehicles during the holy month.

Speaking in this regard, Khaled Shukur, manager of the Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety Department at Emirates Transport, affirmed Emirates Transport's continuous and relentless efforts to raise the levels and standards of safety while providing important services to customers across the country, particularly in terms of transport and rental services, which constitutes the core of the company's operations.

"This effort is multiplied in the run up to the holy month, through the various available channels, to ensure the safety of employees and customers alike," he added.

According to Shukur, the company released the short awareness film this year in three languages, Arabic, English and Urdu. It contains a set of important driving instructions and educational tips to be followed by drivers while providing services during the month of Ramadan.

Shukur added that the short film is designed in a simplified manner using animated cartoon illustrations and 2D technology to allow drivers to better understand the safety rules and ensure strict compliance with them. The video is significantly targeting all drivers of the company’s fleet in various transport sectors including buses as well as its other staff members and the general public.

It is highly important for all stakeholders to follow the safety guidelines to prevent any challenges during the provision of services.
