More Covid-19 field hospitals to be launched in UAE

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that more Covid-19 field hospitals would be launched in the coming days.

The ministry said, “A group of field hospitals has been activated and more will start operating in the next phase in various emirates, as the number of field hospitals will reach 7 during the next phase.”

“We noticed a gradual decrease in registered cases during the past two weeks, due to executing all national protocols and tightening supervision by the authorities. These are good indications of the general improvement in the epidemiological situation.”

The UAE is prioritizing the implementation of preventive measures related to Covid-19 and also constantly assess data and indicators in the health sector to provide the best health care to the people.

The health authorities said, “Adhering to all the vaccine doses and to all recommended precautionary measures, such as wearing a mask, social distancing and washing hands, would stop the spread of Covid-19 virus in the society.”

The Ministry announced on Tuesday that 175,284 additional Covid-19 tests have been conducted over the past 24 hours. With an increased testing campaign, MoHAP announced 3,005 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total recorded cases in the UAE to 375,535. MoHAP also announced 5 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,145 due to Covid-19.
