The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced a mandatory reduction in Covid-19 PCR test prices in all national medical establishments, where the price is reduces to a flat fee of AED50, while obliging all centres and laboratories to issue results within 24 hours.

This move aims to reduce the cost of tests and ease financial burdens on members of the community while ensuring regirous testing for Covid-19.

The ministry stated it will monitor health establishments’ adherence to the resolution, which will commence starting on the 31st August, 2021.
