Mohamed bin Zayed, Colombian President discuss enhancing bilateral ties, COVID-19 efforts

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Colombian President Iván Duque Márquez recently held a telephonic conversation and discussed various ways to strengthen mutual cooperation across all fields for the greater good of both communities.

During the phone call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Márquez shared views on a number of issues that need mutual attention and cooperation.

Furthermore, the two leaders also addressed the latest developments in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in their countries, highlighting the need for continuous joint international coordination and cooperation to combat the economic and humanitarian repercussions of the crisis affecting every individual at the global level.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the Colombian President also underlined the need for partnership in the economic, development, investment fields amid their joint efforts to develop and expand cooperation across various horizons in a bid to fulfill the dreams of the people in the two friendly nations.

On his part, Colombian President Márquez extended gratitude and appreciation towards the UAE for their support and efforts in supplying medical aid and COVID-19 test devices for the assistance of the health sector in his country that benefitted thousands of healthcare workers in boosting their endeavours to contain the spread of the virus.
