Martyrs’ families in UAE to receive COVID-19 vaccine

In continuation with the ongoing efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi have jointly launched a campaign to provide Coronavirus vaccine to the families of martyrs in the Emirates.

Speaking about the campaign, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Executive Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, asserted that the initiative has been launched in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and his keenness in providing the necessary services to the families of martyrs for leading stable lives. The UAE leadership has paid significant attention to the requirements of the families of martyrs under the monitoring of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted that the office is working in cooperation with the department to initiate the campaign in a bid to safeguard and protect the health and well-being of the families of the martyrs across the country

He further lauded the efforts of frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19, noting that they are displaying a model of devotion and patriotism with their crucial work in supporting health authorities across the UAE. Sheikh Khalifa praised the continuous efforts of the medical cadres, whom he regarded as the 'fruits of the UAE’s investments in the health sector and its support for its workers'.

Families of the martyrs expressed their gratitude to the office for their continuous support and recognition through various initiatives and cultural events with the aim of generating awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic and related preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus. Relevant authorities adopted a number of initiatives to create awareness about precautionary policies and the process of vaccinating the martyrs' families.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the UAE, the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office has been taking various to communicate with the families of the martyrs and empowering them to tackle the consequences of the crisis.
