The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport has vaccinated 7,166 public transport drivers against COVID-19 in Abu Dhabi by end of May 2021. The vaccination drive was launched in coordination with the Department of Health and Abu Dhabi Health Service Company (SEHA) in Abu Dhabi to protect drivers of public transport from COVID-19 infection.

This move is in line with the extensive inoculation campaign started by authorities to vaccinate all employees and workers in Abu Dhabi's transport sector. The authorities are making efforts to vaccinate all sections of society to control the COVID-19 outbreak and ensure the safety of every individual.

Furthermore, ITC has noted that it has completed the vaccination of all its public bus drivers, including a total of 1,460 drivers, in addition to 5,706 taxi drivers. The ITC has vaccinated 82 percent of the total public transport drivers across the emirate.

ITC has encouraged all its public transport drivers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to contain the virus and protect everyone.
