Fujairah introduces new and stricter Covid-19 regulations

Fujairah has announced stricter restrictions to be applicable across the emirate to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

The fresh regulations include reduced capacities across various commercial establishments and public services. They are as follows:

  • Public beaches and parks to 70%
  • Shopping malls to 60%
  • Cinemas to 50%
  • Gyms to 50%
  • Swimming pools at hotels to 50%
  • Public transport services to 50%

Fujairah Municipality has also suspended all music events, concerts, and social gatherings. All tables at restaurants and cafes must be placed at 2 meters distance apart, and a maximum of 4 people allowed on each table.

All service sector employees are required to take mandatory PCR tests every 2 weeks, except those who are vaccinated.

These precautionary measures will bolster UAE’s efforts to limit Covid-19 spread and ensure the safety and health of all people. The directives will stay in place until further notice.
