Flydubai has partnered with Al Hosn to provide passengers with digital verification of their COVID-19 related medical record while travelling from Dubai. Al Hosn is the UAE's official mobile application to carry out contact tracing and COVID-19 testing across the country.

With this development, Flydubai has become the first airline to join efforts with the Al Hosn app to enhance passengers' experience during their travel.

This partnership will facilitate Flydubai passengers to use the app at the airport check-in counters to present their negative COVID-19 PCR test results. With the app, passengers will not require a printed copy of their PCR test certificate while flying from Dubai.

Notably, this service is currently available for flydubai passengers departing from Terminal 2 of the Dubai International (DXB). At the same time, flydubai and Al Hosn are in talks to integrate the necessary services for flights departing from Terminal 3 of the DXB airport as well.

In this regard, Hamad Obaidalla, flydubai Chief Commercial Officer, thanked the Al Hosan app for its partnership and support to implement the digital verification facility.

"We are pleased to become the first airline to offer this service to the benefit of our passengers,” he added.

The Al Hosn app was joined developed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and local health authorities to support the country's battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Promoted by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), the app provides quick access to test results and vaccination information to its users and relevant entities in the country.
