Entry procedures for truck drivers updated by Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated procedures related to entry of trucks and other vehicle drivers for entering Abu Dhabi, effective from Monday, 1st February 2021.


The decision is a precautionary measure to help limit spread of Covid-19 infection. The updated procedures are applicable to all vehicle drivers transporting goods. They are required to present a negative PCR test which is to be received within last 7 days of entry into the emirate. Vaccinated drivers will be given PCR tests every seven days free of cost.


The committee through this update has renewed its call to the public to continue cooperating and adhering to the measures to prevent spread of the Covid-19 infection. Violators of these procedures may be liable for legal fines and penalties.
