Passengers travelling to the UAE through Emirates Airline can now avail the benefit of a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at Dubai International Airport in order to visit the Expo 2020 Dubai site. To avail the free COVID-19 PCR test, passengers have to show their Expo tickets to airline staff at the Dubai airport. In addition, they can also get free Expo tickets with their Emirates airline tickets.

Passengers can take the test in the testing lounge located a short distance before the immigration hall. Furthermore, no prior booking is required for taking the test.

The testing service is particularly beneficial for unvaccinated passengers willing to get tested as a precaution before visiting the Expo. Visitors seeking to enter the Expo 2020 are required to show either a COVID-19 vaccine certificate or a negative PCR test conducted upto 72 hours before entering the gates.

Even as Expo organisers have set up a dedicated testing centre on site for visitors which provides results within four hours, people have been urged to come prepared to the event.

A free day pass for Expo 2020 is provided to passengers flying on an Emirates flight between October 1 and March, 31, 2022. Passengers can claim their free pass by entering their details on the Emirates website under the Expo tab. The airline will mail their tickets directly to the person who booked the flights.
