Dubai Reduces Social Distancing Requirement To 1 Metre In Some Areas

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing of the Dubai Government has announced the reduction of social distancing requirement to only one metre in certain areas of the emirate.

According to the latest circular issued by the Department, people are required to maintain only one metre of social distance in public places such as restaurants and cafes, shopping centres, gyms, beaches, public and entertainment parks, offices and workplaces.

Earlier, the rule mandated residents to maintain two metres of physical distance in public places. The decision has been taken in line with the decreasing number of COVID-19 infections in the city in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Dubai authorities have been ensuring all measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus and vaccinate maximum number of people in the region.
