COVID-19: UAE records no deaths due to Coronavirus in recent weeks

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday reported 353 new cases of COVID-19 in the country with 1,033 recoveries. In a major development, there have been no deaths due to COVID-19 in the UAE in the past few days. Daily COVID-19 infections have dropped significantly in the UAE in recent weeks in view of the robust efforts of the relevant authorities to contain the impact of the pandemic.

The new COVID-19 infections were reported after the UAE health sector conducted 332,599 additional PCR tests across the country.

The UAE has conducted more than 139.7 million COVID-19 tests across the countries as part of the mass screening efforts aimed at containing the spread of infections.

Meanwhile, the MoHAP has wished all COVID-19 patients a speedy recovery from the disease. Authorities continue to urge the public to cooperate with the health authorities and adhere to necessary safety measures to ensure the health and wellbeing of all community members. The public is urged to comply with precautionary measures such as regular hand washing and sanitising and maintaining social distancing to limit community transmission.

Amid decreasing new infections, UAE authorities are easing several COVID-19 restrictions to boost the recovery of key sectors from pandemic repercussions.
