Covid-19 guidelines updated for weddings, social events in Sharjah

 Sharjah’s Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management team has issued updated precautionary measures that will be implemented to fight the spread of COVID-19 in social events and gatherings.

 

According to the new measures number of attendees are not to exceed 50 people at home and 100 people in halls while keeping 4 meters safe distance between participants.

 

Setting up wedding tents will now be allowed with a capacity maximum 200 people while following all precautionary measures and social distancing. All social gatherings participants must be completely vaccinated and the green pass system of Al Hosn App is also to be activated.

 

The Emirate’s Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management team has instructed people to follow half the capacity of each table in social events and limit the ceremony duration to no more than four hours. The team has further urged people with chronic diseases, the elderly and those with any symptoms of illness not to attend the events. Public is urged to abide by all preventive measures and wear masks while regularly sanitizing hands, avoiding hand and nose-shaking, hugs, observing physical distance between individuals to ensure safety of all.
