Best practices to improve crisis management was discussed in DEWA's International Excellence Forum

The "Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Global Excellence Forum", which happened online under the title 'Operational Excellence and Crisis Management – Covid 19 phase and beyond and lessons learned'. The discussion was mainly on three main issues: the role of institutional readiness, market continuity, and institutional adaptability in crises; Water Efficiency. It also included Best Practices for Reducing Water Losses, Water System Management, Managing human resources prior and then afterward the Coronavirus pandemic. 


His Highness Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority demonstrated in his initial discourse that the virtual association of the discussion comes because of the conditions forced by the coronavirus pandemic, emphasizing that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has demonstrated its capacity to stand up with the continuous fast changes and also manage different tense situations with proficiency. 

His Highness asserted that DEWA has exhibited its readiness and adaptability in managing different conditions and improvements and has succeeded in facing difficulties with strategic planning, which is an essential pillar of a whole system of the distinct and integrated institutional framework.

Al Tayer stated that DEWA's method to deal with the energy sector at the current stage is to organize the utilization of clean energy within the system of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy to give 75% of the absolute energy limit from clean energy sources by 2050.
