Bahrain removes mandatory testing, quarantine rules for arrivals

The Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) of Bahrain has updated the health entry procedures for passengers arriving at the Bahrain International Airport.

According to a statement issued by the CAA statement, all passengers travelling to the Kingdom through the Bahrain International Airport are not required to take a COVID-19 PCR test or undergo precautionary quarantine upon arrival in the country.

The CAA statement was carried out by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

Effective from February 20, the protocols have been updated in line with ongoing measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Kingdom. It will further boost tourism and economic activities in the country.

Bahrain has also updated travel protocols for contacts of active cases, including those passengers who do not hold a green pass on the BeAware application of the country. As per the new rules, close contacts are no longer have to isolate.
