ADJD launches digital money order for disbursement of deposits

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has recently announced the launch of a digital money order system to facilitate the disbursement of amounts held in deposit. Under the system, the entire disbursement process, starting from the deposit system to the remittance in the beneficiaries' accounts, has been made fully automatic and electronic. The innovation of the system has been achieved by linking the ADJD systems with the servers of the Islamic Bank of Abu Dhabi (ADIB) with the aim to speed up the process of bank transfers and expedite remittance of dues in an easy and simple way for the court users.

Speaking about the development, Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, stated that the digital money order system was commissioned through the efforts of the ADJD in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and President of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department towards achieving digital transformation across various sectors. To achieve the feat, modern technical capabilities have been harnessed to ensure that services are provided to the users with the necessary speed, particularly those services related to the disbursement of deposits and dues.

As per the project, users will be able to follow up the bank transfers throughout the electronic stages and verify the status of the process at any point in time. The Undersecretary explained that the system sends out immediate notifications related to the transfers in the event of any problem in the process such that necessary remedial actions can be taken accordingly. At the same time, the system ensures full-fledged confidentiality of the transfers and data of the court users. Mr Al-Abri added that the system guarantees the accuracy of all settlements made with the bank, along with the integrity of the financial statements of the litigants and the authenticity of the bank transfer statements.

Furthermore, ADJD Under-Secretary stated that the move has been taken as part of the efforts taken across various sectors to enhance the quality of the judicial services provided to the users such that they received the best services with the highest international standards, particularly, with the implementation of the remote litigation system.
