Abu Dhabi to open movie theaters with 30 percent of its capacity

With normalization in the process all around, the United Arab Emirates is also taking baby steps to ensure that people begin seeing the world in normal light. For this, officials have decided to open theatres in Abu Dhabi with a 30 percent capacity.

This is in line with efforts of the Abu Dhabi government to ensure that covid-19 protocols are followed and all the measures are taken to ensure that the virus is contained the best possible way while also making a floor open for the public to entertain themselves after a long interval during the pandemic.

So considering all these factors, the authorities decided to open theatres with limited capacity on Saturday. Cinema halls can now function at 30 percent capacity with all the precautionary measures in place such as the inclusion of masks, maintaining social distancing, and regular sanitizing.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee confirmed the news, and the information was further stressed by the Abu Dhabi media house, which tweeted saying, “AbuDhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee has approved opening cinemas at 30% operating capacity while adhering to all precautionary measures including wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and regular sanitizing.”
