Abu Dhabi removes use of wristbands for home quarantine in emirate

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic has announced removal of the use wristbands during home quarantine for international travellers and those in contact with COVID-19 positive cases with effect from September 19, Sunday. According to new rules, wristband requirement for COVID-19 positive cases will continue to remain in place to limit the spread of the virus.

At the same time, the committee has implemented enhanced precautionary measures to overcome the impact of the pandemic.

As part of the new protocols, the committee has called on community members to continue strict compliance with home quarantine procedures and required testing schedules based on personal responsibility. The committee will also ensure continuous monitoring of healthcare systems to maintain compliance with relevant precautionary measures. Any violations will be directly reported to the Attorney-General.

Meanwhile, the committee has called on all citizens, residents and visitors to continue their compliance with COVID-19 precautionary protocols to protect public health and safety in order to foster sustainable recovery in the country.
