Abu Dhabi Police reward delivery riders for following safety rules

Abu Dhabi Police launched an initiative to commend delivery riders and reward them for their commitment towards COVID-19 safety and continuous compliance with traffic rules.

Taking to social media, the police posted a video showing Happiness Patrols pulling over delivery riders and gifting them coupons. These gifts were given to delivery riders as part of a noteworthy campaign launched by the police last year.

In November 2021, various government departments across Abu Dhabi joined hands to launch the motorcycle safety awareness campaign with the aim of enhancing the safety and wellbeing of delivery riders.

The campaign calls on all delivery riders employed by restaurants, consumer goods stores, courier services and other similar businesses across several sectors to ensure strict adherence to traffic and road safety rules.

Happiness Patrols of the Abu Dhabi Police have been constantly monitoring the roads in the emirate since October 2016. They have also been giving away vouchers and appreciation certificates to motorists and delivery riders for their efforts and compliance with traffic safety rules.
