Abu Dhabi Police Distribute Face Masks Personal Protection Equipment

Among various precautionary steps and protective measures taken by the UAE, and as part of the "For Your Safety" Campaign, Abu Dhabi Police have distributed facemasks and personal protective supplies among residents of a number of areas in Abu Dhabi, including Musaffah, Al Mafraq and Al Shawamekh in addition to Al Ain City.

The police patrol officers advised the public to comply with the precautionary measures taken by the country and the directives issued by competent departments to avoid COVID-19, including social distancing protocols, frequent hand-washing and steering clear of mass gatherings and large community events.

The campaign provided tips and guidance to the population in several languages, including awareness on the importance of leaving a safe distance when shopping as well as ensuring to cover the mouth and nose with proper face masks and to wear gloves for enhanced protection against COVID-19.

The initiative comes in line with Abu Dhabi Police's continuous efforts to raise awareness and ensure compliance with the health and prevention measures being implemented by the UAE.

Captain Mohammed Musabih Al Sa’di from Abu Dhabi Police said that this campaign aims to distribute masks to workers and to spread awareness about precautionary measures through proper hand washing, wearing masks and leaving the appropriate distances between them during their movements and avoiding gatherings.

He noted that the campaign includes a number of industrial areas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, benefiting tens of thousands of construction workers in the areas of Mafraq, Mussafah, Hameem Industrial, Ghayathi and Al Ain, and Al-Khurair workers housing behind Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain.
