‎Abu Dhabi: No limit on number of family members in restaurants

Restaurants have been asked to comply with 60% capacity rule and other precautionary measures

Abu Dhabi's Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Committee has eased COVID-19 restrictions for cafes and restaurants in the emirate. In a recent circular, the committee has allowed all members of the same family to sit at one table in cafes and restaurants, without any restriction on the number, in Abu Dhabi with effect from June 5.

With the new rule, there will be no limit on the number of family members sharing a table in restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops in the emirate.

In addition, the committee has stressed the significance of following COVID-19 protocols. It has also called on restaurants and cafes to comply with the approved capacity of 60 percent while following other precautionary measures in order to protect the health safety of all visitors and staff members.

The UAE authorities are ensuring all possible efforts to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus and ensure a gradual return to normalcy.
