100th Meeting Of Supreme Committee Was Chaired By Mansoor Bin Mohammed On Dealing Of Covid 19

Chairman of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, his Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chaired the 100th meeting of the Committee at Dubai’s Expo 2020. Several key member of the Committee attended this significant meeting and during their discussions they also reviewed the successful outcomes of their plan, which focuses of dealing with pandemic situation in the country.

His Highness laid emphasis on how important and relevant is the vision and directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to take Dubai at its zenith. It is of prime importance that to restore the normal life and bring back people from containment zones so that they can live in their usual habitat. For this, a concrete and organized plan is needed to combat pandemic.

His Highness praised the efforts and action taken by frontline workers and stand-by teams for their confidence and diligence displayed between the local and federal entities.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed especially conveyed his gratitude to all the organizations and people across Dubai who tirelessly fought during the tough times of pandemic and helped to restore the normal life in the country.

It is not easy to host Expo 2020 in Dubai without first rolling out all the vaccines and building enough facility centers where it can be all smoothly carried out. Expo 2020 is one of the largest global gatherings in the world, which took place after COVID-19. Dubai stands out as an example to recover from the effects of pandemic quickly and ensure a safe and sound environment. It should be noted that 192 countries participated in the Expo conducted in Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.

His Highness further added that this implementation of stern precautionary protocols of government entities, and the commitment of the public to observe preventive measures have all worked hand in hand to fight the virus. Along with it, He also talked about how crucial it is to uplift the stature of UAE in coming 50 years by maintaining and uplifting the health and safety standards to avoid any setbacks.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansoor reviewed contribution and coordination that took place between local and federal entities that were actively fighting COVID-19. He expressed his utmost appreciation for the vital roles played by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), and the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Health Authority, and Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, in combating the infectious virus.

It is also praiseworthy that all medical staff was prompt in rolling out the vaccines in Dubai and achived high success rate in a short while. His Highness expressed his appreciation for the immense contributions of frontline heroes in public and private sectors, including the Dubai Health Authority, and medical institutions in Dubai.

During the meeting Committee also discussed key policies that have to be followed in coming years so as to track Dubai’s growth in containing the virus. Dubai has efficiently been a role model in fighting COVID-19. They have received appreciation from worldwide by drawing international praise and have set a way to resume economic activities and global events.
