Where to get Covid-19 vaccine administered in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

UAE health authorities have released a complete list of clinics and hospitals where UAE residents can get vaccinated with a Covid-19 vaccine.

The voluntary vaccination programme that began in Abu Dhabi has now been extended to Dubai and the Northern Emirates. All the residents who wish to get vaccinated can get registered to receive free vaccine. In the UAE, Sinopharm vaccine is being administered, with two injections given 21 days apart. UAE's regulators have called the China-developed Sinopharm to have 86% efficacy. The vaccine was approved for use after Phase 3 trials found it to be effective against coronavirus. UAE-wide trials in summer were participated by 31,000 subjects.

After Tuesday March 2, Dubai citizens over the age of 16 can get the Pfizer-BioNTech and those over the age of 18 can receive the Oxford-AstraZeneca.

Six DHA health facilities will be administering the vaccine - Zabeel Primary Health Care Centre, Al Mizhar Primary Health Care Centre, Nad Al Hamr Primary Health Care Centre, Barsha Primary Health Care Centre, Uptown Mirdif Medical Fitness Centre and Hatta Hospital. Patients who have been infected with Covid-19 no longer need to wait for three months to get the vaccine. They can get vaccinated after completing their isolation, if the infection was mild or non-symptomatic.

As of Wednesday, April 2, the Pfizer vaccine is being administered to all people in the capital and across the emirate by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), except participants of Phase III of clinical trial; those who have received single or multiple doses of any other Covid-19 vaccine; pregnant women; and children under 16.

In Dubai, the AstraZeneca vaccine has been approved for certain citizens and residents, with the first batches of vaccine having arrived on February 2. Emirates ID and health insurance/healthcare cards are required to be produced on arrival for vaccination.
