Volunteers in Covid-19 inactive vaccine trial are exempt from other Covid-19 tests: MoHAP

MoHAP has announced in coordination with Department of Health for Phase III of Covid-19 trial

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced in coordination with Department of Health, Abu Dhabi that all the volunteers who are in Phase III of Covid-19 trials are exempted to participate any other Coid-19 tests outside the trial’s structure.

Ministry has also decided to utilize ALHOSN app for identifying volunteers to help them benefit from the new exempt regulation. The volunteers are also required to install the app on their phones.

The volunteers in third phase of trial which started last month in Abu Dhabi, will be administered two doses of the vaccine and would be monitored via phone calls. Health situation of volunteers will be monitored remotely to assess the vaccine’s efficacy and effectivity over a period of 49 days. The decision of exempting the volunteers was made to ensure that they follow the procedures during all trial phases.

ALHOSNUAE is the official application for testing Covid-19. It is the result of collaborative efforts between the ministry and local health authorities.
