Umm Al Quwain makes appointment compulsory to take Covid-19 vaccine jab

The government of one of the UAE emirates, Umm Al Quwain has made it compulsory for people to take appointments before taking a covid-19 jab. They have announced that citizens and residents wishing to take Covid-19 vaccines in the emirate will have to take an appointment before visiting the health facilities.

The decision came after Major General Shaikh Rashid bin Ahmad Al Mualla--Commander in Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police (Head of the Local Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Team of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain) had already spoken about it in his previous addresses.

This is being done so that the high turnout of people who are seeking to get vaccinated can be brought to control. With Covid-19 in view, people gathering at a palace without following precautionary measures can prove to be fatal and it is due to this reason that the authorities have decided to make appointments compulsory before getting a vaccine jab.

The authorities confirmed that the main vaccination centre remains at the Al Bait Mewahid hall, which is working in coordination with other healthcare centres offering vaccination services. You can make the appointment to get a vaccine shot by sending an email at [email protected].

Apart from that, the top official urged all the employees and workers who are working in commercial establishments such as restaurants, salons or sewing shops to get administered by the vaccine as fast as possible so that people are safer in the emirate.

He especially stressed this because the nature of their work requires communication with various sections of the society as they step ahead to offer their services so that they can help the emirate’s efforts in helping to contain the virus spread.
