UAE: Not compulsory to get vaccinated for Coronavirus, says Ministry

The Chinese-developemd Sinpharm is available at all the health centres in the UAE while in Dubai, both of these vaccines are being made available for the residents. But people have a lot of questions about the coronavirus vaccines and their approval.

The UAE ministry of health answered all such questions while talking to Khaleez times. One of the most prominent questions among them was about the benefits of the vaccine to which the health ministry replied that if vaccinated, it can help you protect by creating antibodies and it will also help one to get secured around people who are already infected.

Another doubt that lingers most people is whether one will be getting infected even after taking the shot to which the department replied that according to the available data, one will not be getting infected after taking the host and completing the dose.

The Department further added, “keeping in mind that for your body to build immunity, you should take two doses with an interval of 21 – 28 days between the first and second doses. Till now, there is no specific duration for immunity post vaccination.”

For those worrying about the side effects, they also asserted that apart from a few mild symptoms such as fever and pain in the injection site, there are no absolut side effects of the vaccine. But having said that, authorities also advised people with a history of severe allergies, pregnant and lactating women, women planning to get pregnant and those with severe Covid infection history, to not get vaccinated.

It was also made clear that getting vaccinated is completely optional and only 18 years and above are authorised to get it.
