UAE government announces travel permissions for certain UAE citizen categories to select countries from June 23

Starting from June 23 a select category of UAE citizens and residents would be permitted to travel to a selection of countries. This decision was released in a joint statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC), the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management (NCEMA).

The details about the citizen categories that would be allowed to travel and the countries names would be released later.

Furthermore, the statement also released that the UAE would facilitate travelling within the country with adequate measures for prevention and precautions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The joint statement said that the guidelines and procedures related to travelling are to be strictly followed by all the UAE residents and citizens. These guidelines are to followed before travelling, during the stay abroad, as well as while returning back to the country.

This announcement has been made post extensive evaluations by the concerned authorities in which they studied the successful measures in place and the current global positive outcomes.
