UAE extends tourists visa validity for one month over airport closures

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has instructed tourist visa extension for one month without any fees charging. This is aimed to address the difficulties which are being faced by visitors as few airports are closed across the world.

The decision lies in favor of all the tourists who are currently in the UAE with their families to spend the New Year holidays.

Government agencies and authorities will facilitate extension procedures for tourists over following days to ensure the safety of all visitors during their UAE stay.

Major General Mohammad Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), has welcomed and lauded the new decision to extend tourist visas for one month. “The new order will enhance the tourists’ experience in visiting the country. It is a wise and humanitarian order by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, amid the current situation and challenges all around the world,” he said.
