Travel restrictions eased by Abu Dhabi between its regions starting June 23

Abu Dhabi eases travel restrictions between its regions

All the Abu Dhabi residents will be allowed to travel between the region of the Emirate, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra starting from June 23. This announcement was made by the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disaster Committee for Covid-19 in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and Department of Health. The travel restriction easing would start from 6 am on Tuesday, June 23.

The decision was made considering that Abu Dhabi has been consistently recording low number of positive Covid-19 cases.

However, the movement within the regions is to follow the timings of National Sterilisation Programme, that is 10 pm to 6 am.

Entering the emirate is still restricted for another week. Exemptions are provided for goods, mails and the permit holders. Non-resident workers are still not permitted into Abu Dhabi.
