The National Authority for Emergency,Crisis& Disaster Management with "Trends" Research& Consulting Center organize a public opinion poll on Covid-19 pandemic effects

The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, in cooperation with the Trends Center for Research and Consulting, announced the condection of a public opinion poll to know the views and perceptions of the UAE community about the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on  health, social and economic life, July 28 to August 11 2020.

This survey is available in Arabic, English and Urdu ​​to allow maximum members of society to participate ,at the link: http://trendsresearch.org/trends-survey/ 

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority explained that this poll was prepared to know the impact of the "Covid-19" pandemic on family and social conditions,And knowing their views on the actions taken by the concerned authorities or that must be taken in the face of this pandemic in order to ensure the effectiveness of the preventive measures taken to confront the pandemic in the future.

The questionnaire includes many axes, the first of which measures the level of the participants knowledge of the nature of the preventive measures taken by the state to confront the pandemic and the extent of their follow-up the related news and their different sources, whether it is official written and electronic health ministry  publications or Newspapers, magazines or social media.

The axis also aim to measuring their awareness of the nature of this virus and the most important symptoms of infection,And the measures taken in order to maintain their personal safety.

The second axis of the survey focuses on the social effects of the pandemic on community members, through their views about the impact of the pandemic on their social and family lives, and their perceptions of remote work, distance education and how to practice sports activities.

While the third axis aims to know the opinions of the participants on how official agencies dealt with the pandemic through several indicators like:  transparency, the way information is available on the media and social media,how the spread of the epidemic  was controlled and at what speed as well as the level of care, and the services ,health, material assistance that were provided by the government to those affected by this epidemic and to members of society in general.

This axis also includes the participants knowledge evaluation of how the various entities and sectors in the country dealt with the Corona pandemic, especially the health sector, the economy, the national system for emergency management, crises and disasters, the security sector, the police, traffic, the transportation sector, charitable and humanitarian agencies, and the municipal sector. In addition to measuring the degree of satisfaction of the community members with the measures taken to tackle the pandemic, especially remote work, distance education, closing places of worship, closing malls, closing public parks and recreational places.

the fourth axis of the survey, aims at knowing the participants knowledge of the pandemic economic and social impact, the possibilities of a quick recovery of the national economy, the impact on employment opportunities and the level of financial spending for individuals, and their assessment of the measures taken by the government to ease the restrictions of closure such as Reopening some activities, services and facilities, continuing sterilization, restricted movement hours, continuing distance learning, praying in mosques, and allowing gatherings for 30-50 individuals.This axis also includes questions related to knowing the opinions of society on whether the UAE has passed the critical stage of the spread of the "Covid 19" virus or not ? And their expectations for the future?

The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management called on community members, citizens and residents in various emirates of the country, to participate in this poll, to get acquainted with their views and be guided in developing precautionary measures that would enhance community safety and the return of economic activity in the near future.
