The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in the Emirate of Sharjah announced a package of travel procedures through the emirate’s air ports, which follow the announcement of the opening of travel lines for citizens and residents in the United Arab Emirates, as part of efforts to preserve the health of community members, and to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. The committee stresses the need to follow all procedures issued by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority to assess the general situation in countries.


Citizens and residents will be allowed to travel through the ports of the Emirate of Sharjah for any destination in the event that there are lines for air carriers and in accordance with the procedures of the countries in the entry of travelers, and travelers must ensure the epidemiological situation of the countries they want to visit with ensuring that health insurance covers all treatment and isolation costs for residents and tourists until the results of the examination appear Negativity, and requiring travelers to obtain a laboratory test certificate with a negative result before arriving at the ports of the Emirate of Sharjah, which were issued no more than 96 hours ago.


The examination will be repeated at the port regardless of the negative result, and in the event that the examination is conducted at one of the ports of the Emirate of Sharjah, the incoming traveler must adhere to self-quarantine in his place of residence until the result of the examination appears, and if the result is positive, the person is subject to home or health quarantine according to the period that was completed Determined in advance by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and the period of health isolation is 14 days if it is positive, with the traveler or sponsor bearing the costs of treatment and isolation, and in the event of non-compliance with the quarantine, the legal accountability and trial will be exposed.
