Sheikha Fatima donates AED10 million in humanitarian aid for Lebanese affected in Beirut explosion

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and Honorary President of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has donated AED 10 million in humanitarian aid to the relief efforts being carried in Lebanon after Beirut explosion, thereby reinforcing the ERC’s efforts to minimize the impact of disaster.

The ERC said, “The donation is a part of Sheikha Fatima’s initiatives to support the people affected by disasters and crises around the world, and represents her solidarity with the Lebanese people in these dire conditions.” 

The ERC also laid stress on the donation lending strengthening of the relief efforts of the ERC in Lebanon, and aiding humanitarian services in region which will help meet the requirement of medical supplies by healthcare organizations to tackle various health challenges emerging due to the disaster.

The ERC lauded and appreciated efforts of Sheikha Fatima in the humanitarian field to help reduce human suffering, and in supporting victims of disasters and crises across the world.
