Starting January 17, the screening protocols for vaccinated individuals in Abu Dhabi have been approved by Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee and Department of Health. This is for the people who have been vaccinated under the national vaccination programmes and volunteers who participated in clinical trials of Covid-19 vaccines.

The active icons on Al Hosn app for the volunteers, which is a gold star, and those vaccinated (E) appear post PCR test after all doses required by the trial or 28 days after the second dose respectively.

Al Hosn app gets the active icons after a PCR test is taken, and they have a validity of seven days.

The people who are arriving from ‘green’ countries, are required to take a PCR test on arrival and also on day 6, with no need to quarantine. People entering from other countries, on arrival are required to take a PCR test, quarantine for 10 days and on day 8 take PCR test.

If they come in contact with a Covid-19 positive case, they are required to quarantine for 5 days and on day 4 take a PCR test. Quarantine can end if the result comes negative.
