Greek Prime Minister calls Mohamed bin Zayed

Mohamed bin Zayed receives telephone call from Greek Prime Minister

On Monday His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received telephonic call from Greece Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

During call the leaders discussed bilateral relations between the countries and ways to enhance them for benefit of Greece and UAE. Details of Emirati-Greek Strategic Forum were also discussed which is scheduled later for this month.

Leaders of the two friendly countries also reviewed Covid-19 pandemic situation in both countries and the efforts to contain the virus on a global level. Greek PM thanked and appreciated UAE for the humanitarian efforts extended towards his country with medical aid to help fight the pandemic, as well as the role of UAE to address impact of pandemic on a broader scale.

Sheikh Mohamed and Mitsotakis also discussed during the call a variety of international and regional areas of mutual interest. This included developments in the Mediterranean region. Both nations’ diplomats stressed on the importance of security and peace maintenance in Mediterranean region. Also steering away from adopting of any policies that might threaten stability in the region or hinder the resources utilization were discussed during the call.

Leaders emphasized the importance of settling any disputes in a peaceful manner so as to maintain security and peace at regional as well as global level.
