A vehicle service centre in the UAE has launched a month-long campaign offering free car checks to the country's frontline healthcare workers. The ‘Car Health Matters’ initiative has been launched by Gargash Auto with the aim of expressing gratitude and to congratulate all healthcare workers for their exceptional efforts in the fight against COVID-19 over the past year.
Gargash Auto has partnered with VPS Healthcare hospitals, Medeor Hospital and Burjeel Hospital to provide free car health check-ups valued up to Dh350 to frontline healthcare workers.
As part of the initiative, all staff members of the VPS Healthcare group can avail the free services. According to a statement issued by Gargash Auto, the service centre will soon extend the offer to other healthcare groups, hospitals and clinics. Eligible individuals can call ahead to book their free service with Gargash Auto.
Furthermore, the service provider has stated that all service check-ups will be conducted at the brands’ Al Quoz facility. It is fully equipped with the latest technologies to service the vehicles across both mid-market and luxury segments.
Open to all employees under the VPS Healthcare group, the campaign will run from October 15 to November 15. In the statement, Amir Pervaiz, general manager at Gargash Auto thanked all frontline and healthcare workers for their relentless contribution to the country.
"Their tireless efforts throughout the pandemic are largely the reason for why the UAE has managed to come out of the situation as quickly as it has. We applaud their efforts,” he said.
Pervaiz added that Gargash Auto will extend this initiative to other hospitals and clinics to thank all healthcare workers for their services in curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a staff of more than 60 today, the family-owned company has been providing services for over 16 years. It has been servicing some of the largest car brands including, Maserati, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche among others.
Significantly, Gargash Auto emerged as the first carbon-neutral auto workshop in the UAE. The company has installed solar panels on its rooftop which has saved a total of Dh240,000 by removing the need for expenditure on electricity.
