Emirates ramps up Pakistan services, to offer 60 flights per week

Dubai's flagship airline Emirates has announced that it will ramp up its passenger services to/from Pakistan starting August 10. In a recent statement, the airline announced that it will increase its flight frequency to/from various destinations in Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot along with resuming passenger services to Peshawar.

With this initiative, the airline aims to provide its customers worldwide better and enhanced connectivity to more than 70 destinations in its expanding network, via Dubai.

According to the statement, the Dubai-based airline will be offering 53 weekly flights to Pakistan, which will further increase to 60 weekly flights from August 16, Sunday. Moreover, all flights will be operated with the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER.

Emirates will operate 21 weekly flights to Karachi, which will increase to 28 flights starting August 16. To Islamabad and Lahore, the airline will offer 10 weekly flights each, 7 weekly flights to Sialkot, and 5 weekly flights to Peshawar.

At the same time, customers have been informed that travel restrictions will remain in place. Passengers will be allowed to take these flights only after they follow the eligibility and entry criteria requirements.

With Dubai reopening for international business and leisure travellers, passengers can opt to stop over and travel the city during their journey. However, COVID-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving in the UAE.

Earlier, Emirates had announced that it will free cover all COVID-19 related costs including medical expenses and quarantine costs for passengers if they are diagnosed with the virus during their travel.
