After collecting the necessary information, the medical representative at the centre will take a small sample of your blood through a prick test. It will be similar to a blood sugar test.

Once the prick test is completed, the result will be sent by the authorities through SMS to your registered mobile number. As per reports, the results are generated within a few minutes.

What is the process?

The validity of a DPI test is for 24 hours, which will allow residents to enter the emirate within the stipulated time. People cannot use a DPI test for two consecutive times to enter Abu Dhabi.

For people staying in Abu Dhabi for a longer duration, the authorities have called for a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test on Day 3 and Day 7 of their stay in the emirate. This rule is applicable only when people are staying in Abu Dhabi for seven or more days.
