COVID-19: Dubai Municipality shuts six establishments

The Dubai Municipality on Saturday announced that six establishments were recently shut down in the city for flouting COVID-19 protocols. The municipality posted a tweet, underlining that four laundries were closed down in Naif and Al Rigga after they were found in violation of health and personal hygiene practices.

Furthermore, a salon was shut down in Naif area due to overcrowding and lack of maintaining physical distancing measures. A food establishment was closed in the Al Wasl area for non-compliance with physical distancing rules.

In addition to the closure of six establishments, four warnings were also handed out during the inspections. The Dubai Municipality also noted that a commitment rate of 95 percent to COVID-19 protocols was found among businesses during the inspections.

The municipality conducted a total of 222 inspections throughout the region to ensure adherence to COVID-19 precautionary measures.
