The United Arab Emirates authorities are very particular when it comes to the safety of the community during the coronavirus pandemic and it has been yet again proven as Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also announced that members of the delegations of the countries participating in the Expo 2020 will get vaccinated.

The crown prince of Dubai and Chairman of the executive council also approved the food security strategy along with mobile strategy in the emirate during the council meeting which was chaired by him.

He also rolled out instructions for the government authorities in the emirate urging them to provide covid-19 vaccines to all the members of the delegation that will be a part of the Expo Dubai 2020 so that the community can be assured of the safest and inclusive experience for not only the participants but also the visitors.

Sheikh Hamdan tweeted that in October the world will be welcomed in Dubai and the UAE and also added that they wish to show the world an exceptional experience at the Expo 2020. He also thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for the vision saying that he is the one who made ‘Dubai a preferred destination and home to major international events.

Among other things, the meeting also focused on the food strategy implementations. The strategy was focused on diversification of sources while also enhancing the quality of the local product. It aims at curbing poverty and wasting of food which further extends to strengthening food integrity to ensure a better life.

Other than this, the top authorities also discussed emergency medical services and various strategies to strengthen this sector. Through this strategy, the officials aim to focus on consistent, emergency preparedness and flexibility if dealing with health crises and disasters. This was especially important because of the sudden rise in the requirements of the healthcare sector last year.

The main goal of this strategy was to provide high-quality health services which live up to the best of international standards. The council then provided a master plan for ‘Soft Mobility’, a project that will aim at serving more than 1.5 million people in the short run. This is a comprehensive plan that has been designed with a long-term view and is also in line with the Dubai Urban 2040 plan.

Through this plan, the authorities aim at making Dubai one of the most eco-friendly and most sustainable cities in the world. It was also announced that the plan will focus on making Dubai one of the friendliest cities for the people of determination.
