Capacity at parks, beaches, gyms & hotels reduced by Ras Al Khaimah to curb Covid-19

In order to curb the spread of coronavirus infection in the emirate, Ras Al Khaimah has imposed tough measures. During a virtual meeting, the Emirate’s emergency, Crisis and Disaster management team has reached decision to reduce operating capacity at various establishments, including entertainment venues, cinemas, fitness centres, gyms, pools and private beaches at hotels. These places are to now operate at a maximum capacity of 50%.

Public beaches and parks must operate at 70% and shopping malls at 60%. The new measures will also put a cap on number of people permitted at family and social gatherings. At weddings maximum 10 people, and at funerals maximum of 20 people will now be allowed.

Restaurants and cafes must maintain a 2-metre distance between tables, with maximum four people allowed sitting together, unless they are of the same family.

The management team also underlined and reminded the public to keep a distance of two-metre at all times from others, and to keep following the precautionary and preventive measures at all times.
